I just happened upon this adorable spot one night after enjoying ice cream at Scoops La Jolla. It’s steps away and by far the cutest spot in the area with a rustic, cozy feel. I ordered Cappellini Alla Checca. It’s simplicity at it’s best. The tomatoes are infused with garlic flavor! Your tastebuds will thank me, whoever you speak to the following day will not. I loved this dish so much that I couldn’t stop thinking about it and went back for a second round! I just love when I find a dish that stays on my mind, don’t you?

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream
After years of searching for a dairy free option to love, I have finally fallen head over heels for Van Leeuwen Ice Cream! Honeycomb and Strawberry Cookie Crumble make my dreams come true! Add both to your must try summer list.
There are several shops in LA and NYC. Some Whole Foods and Bristol Farms stores carry the brand. If you’re not in those areas, don’t despair! Van Leeuwen ships nationwide!

Bobboi Gelato
If you’re looking for a way to beat the summer heat, it’s inside this adorable gelato shop in La Jolla! Wonderful service, gorgeous views & delicious flavors await you. Bobboi offers several dairy free options everyday. My go-to order is dark chocolate & strawberry but occasionally I’ll sample a seasonal flavor that changes my mind! Most recently, I sampled watermelon & mango. Both flavors were divine! This is a must try if you’re in the area!
Communal Coffee
I’ve found a new love in North Park! Serving up specialty coffees, avocado toast, pastries & flowers. This is a must try in San Diego.
I ordered the seasonal Rose Vanilla Latte, which was perfect with just a hint of rose. The avocado & egg were atop rosemary sage bread, need I say more?
I will definitely be trying the Lavender Honey Latte on my next visit, which will be soon! Nothing but goodness coming out of this shop!

Queenstown Public House
I’ve been singing Queenstown’s praises since my first meal there in 2015 & I haven’t stopped. The brunch menu is definitely my favorite. I have yet to find any breakfast/brunch item anywhere else that rivals the Oink. Jalapeño cornbread topped with garlic kale, hoison pulled pork, poached eggs, & jalapeño cayenne hollandaise sauce. It’s simply perfection on a plate.
If you go for lunch or dinner, make sure to try the rosemary aioli dipping sauce with your fries and burger. It’s what dreams are made of. Most recently, I tried the Chicken & Waffles and was delighted that it came with a kick of heat. We are in San Diego, after all. Bring on the jalapeños!
Morel’s French Steakhouse and Bistro
Braised Short Rib with side of Sautéed Mushrooms
Morel’s French Steakhouse and Bistro is a wonderful eatery located at The Grove in Los Angeles. They offer indoor and outdoor dining. The outdoor patio has a wonderful view of the dancing fountain and is great for people watching! I ordered the Braised Short Rib, which was tender and delicious. The Sautéed Mushrooms were the perfect compliment.
